The email which is of less importance is filed away for you to read at a less urgent time. The unsolicited commercial email is put into a junk folder for deletion, although it is wise to make sure that there haven't been any false positives before you empty the folder. No software is infallible when it comes to recognizing spam.

As well as email, the task scheduling software can even handle the changing of web pages, whether or not they have RSS feeds. If there are web pages whose content is important to you in your job, you can simply program the software to visit these sites every day, or even more often if that is needed, and download the web page. By comparing this download with the previous one, the software is able to determine whether or not there has been any change to the content on the site. If there has, you will be alerted to the fact and can visit the website. If there is no change, the software will do nothing, saving you the time and trouble of visiting the unchanged site.

It is also possible to use task scheduling software as a way of automating FTP uploads, and making sure that operations are carried out one after the other. Depending on your needs, you can save a lot of time by automating so many routine tasks which you would need to carry out during a working day, using task scheduling software.
